The Aston Martin Heritage Trust held their annual extravaganza at Brooklands this year, on Sunday 14th. So Julia and I toddled along to relish the huge range of Astons on display and whizzing around - from the AMHT's A3 - the oldest AM in existence, through loads of 1920s Banford and Martins, the 1930s Bertelli era cars through the David Brown years and into the 70s, 80s and 90s. Heres a few shots of what took my eye:
Firstly Brett Sinclair's (aka Roger Moore) yellow DBS V8 (ahem, actually a rebadged straight six DBS) from the 1970 cult TV show The Persuaders, looking very nice and ready to shoot down the French Riviera to chase some villains:

This is unusual - its a DB2 bodied by Swiss coach builder Graber, who also styled the Alvis TD/TE/TF 21s - a nice job and bit different to the usual DB2s:

And here is Aston Martin's DB years personified - a nice early DB2/4 alongside a 1954 Lagonda 3 litre - two designs styled by Frank Feeley (Sorry about the van in the background....):

And just coming back to the 'pits' after having a go up the members hill, here is a lovely 1934 1.5 litre Aston Martin:

There was a row of most of the classic 1930s works cars, starting with LM1. My camara wasn't wide enough to get them all but here a taster, with LM16 and 17 sitting side by side:

And there were lots of Astons parked up on the historic finishing straight, including these rather nice DB5s and 6s:

along with a few more of all ages and crowds of people:

All in all it was a great day, very hot weather and lots to see if you like Aston Martins! Now it back to writing about Bertelli era Astons, ADO16s and rewiring the Lotus.....
