Fifteen minutes of fame (well a minute or so...)

I was ambling down the Basingstoke canal yesterday (Wednesday 10th Aug) with Poppy doing my length as usual, when I ran into a film crew from BBC's South Today doing a story on the low water levels. After offering to let Poppy have a swim for them to film, they did a short interview with me. And the interview actually appeared on that evening's news, along with a quick shot of Poppy swimming. So that's my quick spot of fame and me doing my bit to publicise the canal and the great asset it is to the community. Mind you, Poppy's swimming was accompanied by a voice-over advising people to stay out of the water to avoid churning up the silt..... not that she noticed.

The program can be seen here:

I'm there at about 2:10 and poppy is cavorting at 3:24 ish......
